Managing Partner at SECTOR Consulting

Tamara Higgins has owned a construction business and saw first-hand the need for qualified workforce throughout the various levels of construction. She spent the first 11-years of her business life in manufacturing, with a focus on engineering and project management and the next 17-years in commercial construction subcontracting, starting with glass & glazing, then moving into consulting for product design, façade interfacing and code compliance, which eventually led to starting her own business as a wall panel subcontractor. Tamara is a powerful resource for entrepreneurs and teaches the fundamentals on all levels of construction, associated hazards, sales, marketing and tricks of the trade for small businesses, minority companies and job seekers. Tamara has various certifications, including OSHA 30, CDT (reading specifications), Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens and is accredited in LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). Her passion is ensuring that people strengthen themselves and understand how to create opportunities that empower them to make a positive impact in every situation.
